Castleton-on-Hudson Farmers & Artisans Market is this Friday, July 21, from 4:30-7:30 PM at the corner of Main Street & Scott Avenue. It's always a fun time with vendors, veggies, food, music & more. You can sign the "Open the Gate" petition and get a button. A representative of the Rensselaer Land Trust will have a booth with information about the Estuary's Hudson River access study.
The Inaugural Repair Cafe was held on July 15. There were six repairers, as well as three greeters, 23 "customers," five visitors, and only 4 items that could not be repaired. Services included electrical appliance repair, clothing & textile repair, furniture repair, and welding. The most unusual item repaired was a super soaker!
The next Repair Cafe will be Saturday, August 12 from 10-2 at the Village Hall. Bring your beloved but broken item, and volunteers will do their best to repair it for free!
Sign the petition (at The Store, the Castleton Public Library, Repair Cafe or COHFAM) and get a button. You can also sign an electronic version of the petition here: https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/open-the-gate-2
